| Karen’s Event Center is pleases to have the opportunity of providing our service in helping you plan your special event. We are committed to providing quality food and service in an attractive and functional banquet and meeting facility. |
· A final guaranteed count for the event is due 14 business days prior to your event. The estimated number of persons attending the event may be increased up to 10 business days prior to the event, subject to the room capacity. Karen’s Event Center reserves the right to move your group to a room of more appropriate size if your number of guests changes substantially. |
· Room seating capacity will depend on desired room arrangement needs such as: disc jockey, dance floor, buffet tables, head table, gift/cake tables, etc. |
· All events must be RESERVED with a SIGNED CONTRACT and a $1000.00 DEPOSIT, which is NON-REFUNDABLE. One half of the total amount estimated is due 120 days prior to your event, less the deposit. Final payment is due and payable 14 days prior to the event, unless otherwise agreed upon by Karen’s Event Center. Acceptable means of payment are: cash, personal check, money order, Discover, MasterCard and VISA. Said funds paid are non-refundable if the event is canceled within 120 days of the scheduled event. |
· Karen’s Event Center does not assume any responsibility for damage of loss of any merchandise or articles left in the room prior to or following your event. Arrangements may be made for security. Patrons agree to be responsible for any damage done to the premises during the period of time their party is occupying a room or location. PLEASE NOTE: Due to health and liquor regulations all food and alcohol must be consumed on the premises. There will be no alcohol sales after 12 midnight or on Sundays. |
· There will be a gratuity applied to your event for food and beverage costs as well as State of Ohio sales tax. If your group is tax-exempt, please provide us with the appropriate statement of your status. |
· Guaranteed Guest Counts – Karen’s Event Center must receive a guaranteed guest count for your event 14 business days prior to your event. If we don’t receive the final count, we will plan for the original number of guests as written in the contract |
· Basic Event Costs – You will be responsible for the following costs: |
· Other Event Suppliers – Your other event suppliers (cake, DJ, florist, etc.) must contact us one week before the event to discuss delivery schedules, timing, etc. to ensure the room is set up in plenty of time before the event. |
· Decorations – Any decorations, other than those provided by Karen’s Event Center, must be approved and meet fire and safety codes. There is to be no use of tape on any walls in the facility. No glitter or confetti allowed. |
| · Clean Up – If your decorations are extensive and require substantial effort on our part to install or clean up, there will be an additional charge. |
· Hours- All events are for a 5 hour time period. Extra time will be charged accordingly. |
